Will you accept the challenge?

Staying at Ski Rider Hotel in Wilson’s Valley, NSW the weekend commences with a BBQ in the evening of 19 November and ends with breakfast on Sunday 21 November. The 22 km fundraising hike on Saturday takes you to the summit of Mt Kosciuszko along the Main Range Track. World Expeditions in conjunction with the Sydney Chapter of Room to Read are delighted to offer this walk to our highest peak, through one of Australia’s most unique landscapes.

Included in the cost is 2 night’s twin-share accommodation, all your food for the weekend, plus transport to the start of the guided walk and back to your accommodation at the end.

Want to know more?

Room to Read was founded in 2000 on the premise that World Change Starts with Educated Children®, with the goal of creating a world free from illiteracy and gender inequality. They are doing that by helping children in lowincome communities develop literacy skills and a habit of reading, and by supporting girls to build skills to succeed in secondary school and negotiate key life decisions.

A minimum of 25 people are required to guarantee departure. Registrants will need to raise some money for Room to Read – the minimum target being $500 per person. That’s a $50 dollar donation from 10 people. You’ll be given some ideas on how to fundraise after you register. If you can’t do the hike then offer to sponsor someone who is. Every dollar counts!

Please consider joining, getting the word out, telling your friends and family, getting a team together – this is something positive you can do in these uncertain times to make a real difference.
