Tasmania SHORT NOTICE Navigation Training

Posted by Maria Bowdler on Wednesday, 3rd of April, 2024

Caro Ryan, author of 'How to Navigate' and longstanding bushwalking advocate with LotsaFreshAir, is bringing her popular ‘Intro to Navigation’ course to takayna/Tarkine, Tasmania on 24-27 April (inc. Anzac Day public holiday).

Staying in Corinna Wilderness Village, you will learn to navigate by traditional map and compass, read and interpret topographic maps with confidence and importantly, learn to read the landscape and how to walk with it, not against it. You’ll learn the essentials for on and off-track navigation, build your confidence in finding your way in the bush and for making wise decisions in an outdoor environment. This immersive, 4 day retreat includes all meals, accommodation and transfers from Launceston.
